What sort of subconscious communication might occur when two people sleep next to each other? "The Sleepers" explores this question in a soft, dreamy dance work created by Tracy Broyles with Adrian Hutapea(music), Lucy Yim, Jenn Gierada andRichard Decker (performers.) Portland-based artist Tracy Broyles loves to dance, choreograph, perform and teach. She has created several evening length works which have been supported generously by private donors, several RACC project grants and the McKenzie River Gathering Foundation. She is a certified Pilates instructor and recently began to teach her dance practice "Dissolving the I" in studios throughout the area. This summer Tracy will travel to Findhorn, Scotland to participate in Deborah Hay's Solo Commissioning Project, as well as continue creating new work of her own.
